![]() I didn't want to lug around a whole guitar amp just for that sound (I already had a keyboard amp system). After that evening, I was saying (as Stalin once said), "I must have that weapon". The amp had a tube emulator in it (actually, a transconductance amplifier, but I digress.) that recovered practically all that was lost. ![]() Then one day, I was jamming with a friend and plugged it into a Lab Series amp he had. It was no longer a true Wurlie by any means. Mine was an early-80's "cleaned up" model, meaning they redesigned it for education purposes and, in the process, took all the "life" out of the instrument. I had a Wurly for a few years, too, (1980-1984) and really liked it. Tassman is even better for tweakability fom the ground-up. But Lounge Lizard is nice, and tweakable (dial in all the grit that you want). I seem to also recall some usable Wurlies in ST2 and SS1 as well. I haven't loaded SS2 yet (DVD drive is awaiting my imminent upgrade to Athlon64 MOBO). There are some great Wurley sounds in Sonik Synth 2. It was fun replacing the broken tines, too. ![]() LMAO, Actually, I had one for years, and loved it.
